HerStory
My lil 8 year old self would be so proud of me right now
I used to make up songs in the bath when I was little. Wherever I went, I was singing. I remember having thoughts like "woah, that song actually sounds pretty good!" haha
No one in my family was musical that I knew of. I was discouraged from following music as a life path and was told that I should study business instead. It was extremely challenging for me to follow my heart on this path of music for many years. But eventually my love for music & endless promptings from God burned through all the bullshit. 🔥💩😂
In elementary school, I joined the choir. I loved singing & feeling the sound surrounding me.
6th grade brought me the cello. Ooooh did I love her. Resting on the heart, vibrating my whole being. Playing her was a deeply felt & spiritual experience for me. She was my first musical love besides the voice. She'll be coming back soon, I can feel it.
Musical theater in HS was dope. Being loud & expressive & silly & wild was so good for my lil spirit back then & gave me the deep love for the stage. Running around and singing and dancing and making people happy felt so good.
Blessed to be taught & coached by a classically trained Austrian singer, the stunning Eva Cranstoun, this was one of many highlights from my Waldorf Teacher Training in 2014.
That same year I moved to Boulder, CO to teach & soon formed $LUMBERPARTY hip hop with 2 homies. My stage name was Breezy Day as we performed over 15 concerts & 3 festivals (Arise, Tribal Visions, & Firefly) in the 1 year we were together. Those moments formed me as a hip-hop artist when i had no idea making hip hop was part of my path. So much magic & transformation with De$pite & Stevie. I will never forget those silly ass epic times.
No spliffs were harmed in the production of these memories.
When my baby boy was born in 2017, I graduated to Mama Breeze & here I stand today.
Called back again and again to the mic by the Most High to share meaningful sonic medicine for the people. 🎤💟🎤
i hope I get to sing for you soon 😘
